Ice Cream Blizzard

They sell Dairy Queen Blizzards at my son's school sometimes so I promised him I would make him one.  He was not disappointed. He loves Lacey's Macadamia and Milk Chocolate wafers from our Whole Foods (near the bakery section). They're like toffee wafers. SO good!

3 cups of vanilla ice cream (we use 365 brand from Whole Foods)
1 to 2 tsp of chocolate fudge sauce (we use Wax Orchard's from Whole Foods)
1/3 cup of whipping cream (I used Natural by Nature whip cream)
Candy of choice

Combine all ingredients except for candy in a blender until smooth and creamy. If it won't blend, add more whip cream or some milk. You could even mix by hand.

Add candy and blend again or just break up candy into small pieces. Eat immediately or put into the freezer until it is the desired consistency (may be a little thin after blending).

You could use Sunspire Sundrops (like M&M's), 365 chocolate sandwich cookies from Whole Foods (like Oreos), Justin's chocolate and peanut butter cups (like Reese's), homemade brownie pieces, etc.

We stopped using Breyer's Natural Vanilla because they changed their ingredients and stopped filling out forms for Feingold at the same time. They removed real vanilla and replaced it with natural flavors. Some Feingold members have reacted to the new recipe so we use 365 or Haagen Dazs ice cream instead.
